W.A.M.Y. Community Action, Inc. is now taking applications for home performance contractors interested in working with the Weatherization Assistance Program in Watauga, Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey Counties. A bidder’s conference will be held at the Watauga County W.A.M.Y. office on March 22 from 1-3 p.m. and will outline how contractors can be considered for work within the four counties. The office is located behind Boone Drug at Deerfield at 225 Birch Street, Suite 2, Boone, NC 28607.
